The purpose of RaiseAChild.us is to encourage
the lesbian and gay community to
build families of their own through
fostering and adoption.
The campaign is a collaborative effort between
the Department of Children and Family Services of Los Angeles County,
and non-profits Southern California Foster Family and Adoption Agency,
Penny Lane Centers, and The Pop Luck Club.

In the Los Angeles County, on most any day, there are an estimated 15,000 children in an immediate need of a loving home.
California State Laws support that foster and adoptive parents and families may be of any race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or culture.
Throughout the United States, there are an estimated 1 million gay households raising 2 million children.
We are here to help you build your family.
On Tuesday November 15th, RaiseAChild.us will host an event, at Mauro's Cafe at Fred Segal-Melrose, targeting members of the LGBT community with sincere interest in learning more about foster and adoption opportunities.
This fun and informative evening will feature fine food, supportive contacts, and a special guest appearance by actor/comedian Alec Mapa.
