Straight from his brilliant turn as Elder Cunningham in "The Book Of Mormon", Jared Gertner stars as 1930s lyricist Al Dubin in a show that delivers a veritable banquet of marvelous, toe-tapping tunes. Dubin was one of the premier songwriters of Hollywood's Golden Age. Possessed of enormous talent and equally outsized vices, he still managed to create such classics as Lullaby of Broadway, 42nd Street, We're In The Money and Tiptoe Through the Tulips.
Directed and choreographed by Broadway veteran Kay Cole, and written by the award-winning screenwriters of "Peggy Sue Got Married", the show features portrayals of such celebrated personalities as Al Jolson, Cab Calloway, Ruby Keeler, Carmen Miranda, and Busby Berkeley. The only question is which of the twenty-one songs you'll wind up humming on the way out.
